Join the PTSA Board for 2024-2025

The PTSA NEEDS YOU!
The Hough Elementary PTSA needs to fill it's 2024 -2025 Board! Board positions have a maximum term of 2 years and our current President, VP, and Secretary have all reached their term limits. We must have people to fill these rolls in order to continue to operate so we are looking for some interested parents to join us for next year.

The PTSA is an important organization at Hough, responsible for many of our Hawks favorite things - HANs like Monster Mash Bash, Winter Wonderland, Beans and Bingo; Donuts with Grownups; End-of-Year Carnival; Birthday Tables;  and so much more. We also play a critical roll in supporting our school and our students and with the budget cuts in our district for next year, we are going to be even more important. We will be holding elections on 5/16 and MUST fill our Board by then or we will not be able to operate next school year.

Hough Elementary is a wonderful school we are lucky to send our kids to. A

huge part of what makes Hough such an amazing place are the incredible group

of teachers, staff and administrators who work tirelessly for our Hawks. May 6th

through 10th is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week across the country. Every year

the PTSA and Hough Foundation work together to cater meals and special treats

for our teachers and staff every day of Appreciation Week. We know our

teachers, staff and administrators have been hit especially hard this year with all

the district budget cuts and some of our favorite teachers won't be here next

year, so we wanted to invite you to say Thank You to a teacher and/or staff

member by making a donation to support a special Parent Catered Meal we'll

organize for Friday May 10th. Each teacher's meal will also come with a special

Thank You card and we can include your name on the card.

 

If you would prefer to make a donation to the general staff we will divide it evenly

and ensure every staff member receives a card and a delicious meal.

 

If your student would like to draw a THANK YOU picture, please have them do so

and we will turn it into a gift for the teachers at the end of the year. Your student

may return it to the box in the vestibule.

 

$25 will sponsor a staff member’s meal. You can donate as little as $1! Donate online  (online donations have a $5 minimum) or via cash or check. Flyers, donations forms (if you prefer not to donate via cash or check) and THANK YOU drawing pages were sent home.

School-Wide Soccer Shoot-Out Fundraiser

Was a HUGE success! The students raised $2800! 100% of the proceeds will go to funding all of the many programs the PTSA is responsible for! We couldn't do this without you!

Birthday table celebrations: happening each month near the end of the month

Each month, Hough students whose birthdays fall within the month are invited to a special birthday table celebration during their lunch hour.

A loved one is welcome to join them for lunch, they get a special hat, have their picture taken in front of the Birthday Backdrop and get a special treat (plus their framed photo) to take home!

 

We need a couple of volunteers each month to help us man the birthday table. If you'd like to sign up, please click HERE. If it's your child's birthday month, don't worry, you'll still have time to eat with them and get your photo taken with them too!
