Hough PTSA Needs YOU
for 2025-2026!
It's that time of year where the Hough PTSA is looking to fill the 2025-2026 Board. Every year the PTSA is a critical contributor to the daily experience of our Hough students, staff and families and we can't do it without volunteers. The Hough PTSA is a 100% volunteer-run organization and we need to staff our board every year with critical rolls in order to keep operating. We know it can feel daunting to commit to a volunteer position like this, but we hope you'll consider it. If you don't feel up to joining the Board, please consider volunteering for one of the Committee Coordinator positions or just joining any one of the number of Committees that help us organize and execute our varied programs and events. Below you'll find information on the various rolls we are looking to fill as well as links to the the Interest Forms. Filling out the Interest Form is NOT a commitment to taking the position. After you fill out the form the Nominating Committee will contact you to discuss your interest, answer any questions and discuss whether you would like proceed with being nominated to a roll. As we are drawing to the close of another school year, and working to build our next year's board, we are looking to the future and making plans. And we want to make sure those plans best serve our ever-changing school community.
The Hough PTSA has been around for over 40 years and, in that time, has become a vital and integral part of the Hough School Community. So much so, that many people don't know what things the PTSA actually does and we don't blame you. It can be hard to tell what's a PTSA program and what's a school program and what's a Hough Foundation program (although we occasionally work together, the Hough Foundation is completely separate from the PTSA and does different and equally awesome things). We also know that, like with any group or organization, it can be easy to fall into the trap of "what we've always done" and not be careful to consider when changes are needed. With that in mind, as we look to shape the PTSA for next year (and beyond), we are asking each and every parent/caregiver, student, teacher AND staff to please complete this survey. We want our PTSA to SERVE YOU and and serve our community needs the best we possibly can, but we can't do that if we don't know what that community needs and wants.
This is your chance to have a voice in shaping not just your PTSA here at Hough but your and/or your child's school experience for the coming year(s). Please help your students fill out the survey too, because it is the Parent, Teacher, STUDENT Association and their voices matter! Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey!

BECOME A MEMBER!
Being a member of the PTSA doesn't require any kind of time commitment! But your membership helps the PTSA accomplish its goal of making Hough Elementary the best school experience it can be for our students and staff. The PTSA is integral to many of our favorite things at Hough Elementary. From Mileage Club and Winter Wonderland, to Spirit Wear and 5th Grade Fine Dining, our amazing PTSA members play a vital role in students' lives!

If you haven't already, please join for the 2024-2025 School Year! Remember: Even if you were a member last year, you must re-join every year. PTSA membership is only good for the school year and resets every summer.​
